I received such a call from a mother of eighteen year old girl fifteen days back who as per the mother was depressed, her school performance was deteriorating and she was withdrawn and irritated. Utilising Time in Lockdown

The current scenario, one is forced to stay at home. People initially were so happy to hear about the lockdown because they were thinking it has been really long that we could catch a break! Now finally they could its becoming more and more difficult to spend the time. The increase in the lockdown became stressful with burden of work from home. The Extra dose of social media and increased use of Netflix and Amazon prime was initially bearable but is becoming constantly boring day by day.. Initially it was blissful; we were happy and enjoyed the family time.
Now the common has become boring and the heart wants to look for diversity it is totally not willing to engage in the same old behaviours.
Humans are bored very easily o they look for new things to try out.
Similarly we would look at the new things that can be tried for in the next phase three of the lockdown period. .....

Unfortunate and untimely demise of talented Sushant Singh Rajput has left all of us shocked. He was hard working, affluent and accomplished still he couldn't battle his mental illness successfully and succumbed. Why he did that? How could he commit suicide? What must have been in his mind? are questions being up-floated by many. A few TV debaters are already judgemental and have reached to conclusions about weakness. I don't want to comment on his act, that's unfortunate and we lost yet another skilful artist to depression (there have been several in last few years), as to say its just "WEAKNESS" is behaving like an ostrich. We as a society are failing to learn about depression & suicide and therefore are unable to prevent such acts. Demise of Sushant is yet another reminder that we should take mental health seriously else current loss of around 4,00,000 lives per year in India will keep rising.
