The temple is the part of the Unesco world heritage site, The massive sized main Vimana tower is two hundred feet possibly the highest in the world when it was built. It has a monolithic Nandi weighing about 25 tons and is about 12 feet high and 20 feet long. The presiding deity of Lingam is 12 feet tall.
Belur Math
Belur Math is a little more than 17 lakh square feet. Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna math and mission founded by Swami Vivekananda, A chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramhamsa. It is located on the west bank of Hooghly river ballon, West Bengal, and is one of the significant institutions in Kolkata. This temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna Movement. It is notable for its architecture that fuses Hindu Christian and Islamic motives as a symbol of unity of all religions.
